The Worcester Youth Poetry Slam is a not for profit collective committed to offering opportunities for local teens to develop their writing, performance and community.
Perhaps one of the biggest opportunities is our annual trip to the Brave New Voices International Youth Festival. Registering the Team & Raising Travel Expenses is never an easy task. We manage a great deal of fund-raising through performance fees and merchandise sales, we also rely heavily on the poetry community in Worcester & private donations to help make this a reality. Last year we introduced an on-line paypal donation campaign through facebook that was very successful. We still maintain this paypal account and offer the opportunity for you to donate year round to the cause!
